The procurement covers the supply of fruit, vegetables and other plant-based foods for exotic animals at Sofia Zoo. Quantities are: radishes, 10,000 bunches; apples, 38,000 kg; nectarines, 500 kg; peaches, 1,500 kg; mandarins, 500 kg; carrots, 28,000 kg; melons, 7,500 kg; lettuce, 2,500 units; green peppers, 400 kg; celery roots, 1,000 kg; turnips, 1,000 kg; spinach, 300 kg; beetroot, 7,000 kg; red peppers, 1,000 kg; broccoli, 500 kg; kale, 300 kg; oranges, 500 kg; bananas, 5,000 kg; kiwis, 500 kg; pineapples, 3,500 kg; apricots, 500 kg; lemons, 100 kg; cherries, 1,000 kg; cauliflower, 500 kg; sweet potatoes, 750 kg; Jerusalem artichokes, 300 kg; aubergines, 300 kg; red leaf lettuce, 2,500 units; rocket in 100 g packs, 2,500 units; head lettuce, 1,000 units; iceberg lettuce, 1,000 units; celery stalks, 500 kg; green beans, 200 kg; pitted dates in 450–550 g packs, 400 units; avocados, 200 units; mangoes, 600 units; Chinese cabbage, 600 kg; parsnips, 500 kg; ginger, 50 kg; frozen blueberries, 600 kg, raspberries, 100 kg, and strawberries, 100 kg; coconuts, 400 units; asparagus, 500 bunches; pomegranates, 1,500 units; frozen peas, 400 kg; plums, 1,000 kg; figs, 450 kg; sugar beet granules, 6,000 kg; frozen okra, 800 kg; persimmons, 70 kg; courgettes, 6,000 kg; and pumpkins, 9,000 kg. The estimated contract value is EUR 269,962.50. The contract is for 12 months and may, if funds are available, be extended until its value is exhausted, for no more than a further 12 months. Bids must be submitted electronically by 29 October 2026. Price is the sole award criterion: the VAT-exclusive total, calculated from unit prices and forecast quantities, will be assessed. Bidders must submit the European Single Procurement Document and meet requirements for a registered food establishment, at least two food transport vehicles and at least one food-product supply completed within the previous three years. Bids must remain valid for six months. No bid guarantee is required, but the successful bidder must provide a performance guarantee equal to 5% of the estimated contract value.
