Capacity reservation for Personal Protective Equipment pilot project

Summary

This call for tenders concerns capacity reservation for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) pilot project, including contracts to reserve manufacturing capacity and contractor-managed stockpiles. There are two lots: Lot 1 for nitrile examination gloves and Lot 2 for FFP2 masks. Each lot lasts 36 months with an estimated value of up to 17,000,000 EUR per lot (34,000,000 EUR in total). Manufacturing capacity must be located in the EU/EEA; stockpiles are to be established and managed by the contractor with a priority right to purchase. Each lot will be awarded to up to three tenderers. Nitrile gloves must meet EN ISO 21420, EN 455 (parts 1-4), EN 374-1 type C, EN 374-4 and EN 374-5 with CE marking. FFP2 masks must meet EN 149:2001+A1:2009 with CE marking, no exhalation valve, and securing straps around the head/neck.
