Ahr River restoration in Hönningen – ALT380 Hönningen-Liers subproject, construction section 01

Summary

The tender concerns the partial widening and ecological enhancement of the Ahr river channel and its banks in Hönningen, over an approximately 1,100 m section between the Kapellenstraße bridge and the Hönningen bridge under construction. The works include stripping topsoil and vegetation, layered excavation of banks and floodplain areas, removal of possible underground obstacles, construction of access tracks, separate storage and analysis of excavated material, transport for recovery, disposal documentation, bank profiling and partial installation of slope or bank protection. A firework specialist must support the works as a subcontractor to the main contractor. The tender deadline is 23 September 2026. If a bidder also tenders for the Liers section, the two sections must be executed in parallel or with overlapping schedules; sequential execution is not permitted.
