Renewal of the safety lighting system at Terminal 2 of Munich Airport
Summary
The tender concerns the complete renewal of the safety lighting system in Terminal 2 at Munich Airport while the terminal remains operational. The works will be carried out in three construction phases. The existing system must remain fully operational until the relevant partial acceptance. The scope includes replacing six central battery systems with new safety lighting control centres, renewing or replacing approximately 151 substations, adapting power supplies, replacing or supplementing approximately 11,000 safety and escape-route luminaires, dismantling and disposing of approximately 7,800 existing luminaires and signs, installing around 200,000 metres of new cabling, upgrading approximately 610 system-specific and 1,430 system-neutral undervoltage monitors, and dismantling and disposing of existing system components. Complete documentation must be prepared for each central system, and acceptance will take place by construction phase. The tender deadline is 18 September 2026.
