Energy retrofit works for the Dublin Road building at ATU Galway Campus

Summary

The tender concerns an energy retrofit of approximately 4,425 m² of the original 1972 building at Atlantic Technological University’s Dublin Road Campus in Galway. The works include upgrades to the building fabric, replacement of the roof and windows, ventilation improvements, lighting and controls upgrades, and installation of a medium-temperature air-source heat pump. Existing gas boilers will be retained for peak demand and backup. The project aims to improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and achieve at least a B1 BER rating.
