Construction of Delivery Points in the Mata do Urso Water Supply System

Summary

The tender concerns construction of two delivery points in the Mata do Urso water supply system, at the Monte Redondo and Bajouca reservoirs. The works include building delivery-point chambers, equipment cabinets and inspection chambers; installing collectors and connecting branches; and supplying and installing mechanical, electromechanical, electrical, automation and control equipment. The contractor must also commission the works, carry out inspections and operational tests, and provide spare parts and operating and maintenance manuals. The overall execution period is 120 days, including separate binding periods of 105 days to complete the works and commissioning and 15 days for inspections and tests. The contract ceiling is EUR 200,000 excluding VAT; price is the sole award criterion and variant bids are not allowed. The bid must include a price proposal and unit-price schedule, cost breakdown, work programme with labour and equipment plans, execution method statement, spare-parts list, equipment data sheets, and quality, environmental, occupational health and safety, and social responsibility policies. Bidders must hold the required Portuguese public works authorisation. The submission deadline is 12 November 2026 at 18:00, and bids must remain valid for 90 days. The successful bidder must provide a guarantee equal to 5% of the contract price and, before contract signature, evidence of the works manager’s qualifications and insurance.
