Partial refurbishment of DOCAPESCA quay fenders in Sesimbra – Phase 1

Summary

The tender covers the partial removal and replacement of existing fenders along the DOCAPESCA port quays in Sesimbra to improve vessel berthing safety and protect the quay structure. The works include supplying and installing 60 vertical V-type rubber fenders: 33 at Cais de Descarga and 27 at Cais do Cerco. The fenders must be FENDER SX300 type or equivalent, approximately 3.5 m long, with the required fixing components; the anchoring bolts must be galvanised M30, grade 8.8. The works also include removing the existing tyre-based fenders and 16 sets of chains. The chains must be transported to an APSS storage area no more than 300 m away. Cylindrical fenders are not to be removed in this phase. The estimated contract ceiling is €185,000 excluding VAT, and the works must be completed within 270 days. Bids must be submitted electronically by 13 November 2026 at 23:59 and remain valid for 66 days from the submission deadline. Variant bids are not permitted and no tender guarantee is required. Bids will be evaluated on price (70%), technical merit (20%, covering the work programme, labour and equipment plans, and the bidder’s explanatory technical statement), and the use of reused or recycled materials (10%).
