Meter Reading Services Provision - 2026

Summary

This tender concerns the provision of meter reading services for water meters in Caldas da Rainha for SMAS. The contract is for two years with a base price of 169,000 EUR excluding VAT. The contractor must perform at least 17,000 meter readings per month, record readings on a PDA (vehicle/equipment) and transmit the data to SMAS within 72 hours of reading (preferably within 24 hours). Data transfer can be via GSM/GPRS or other approved means. Invoices are electronic, with a payment term of 60 days from receipt of the invoice. The PDA device is provided/maintained for SMAS use, and the contractor must employ at least two workers and provide the required equipment (including a two-wheeled vehicle with a minimum of 110 HP). Proposals are submitted through the Vortal platform; the contract may include limited subcontracting. The contract also sets penalties for non-performance and requires adherence to GDPR and confidentiality obligations.
