Replacement of the Faro, Tavira and Almargem railway bridges on the Algarve Line

Summary

The tender covers the design and replacement of three bridges on the Algarve railway line: Faro swing bridge at PK 340.609, Tavira bridge at PK 372.132 and Almargem bridge at PK 375.787, under a design-and-build arrangement. The existing metal bridge decks will be replaced with new steel-concrete composite decks, supports and foundations will be strengthened, and ballasted railway track will be provided. The scope includes the preliminary design, the detailed execution design with environmental approvals, construction works and technical assistance.
