Tree care, sanitary and restoration works and compensatory planting in the historic castle and garden park at Rogów Opolski

Summary

The procurement covers tree-care, sanitary and restoration work and compensatory planting in the historic castle and garden park at Rogów Opolski. The work includes felling trees and stump grinding, crown-care and sanitary pruning using rope-access techniques, removing mistletoe from tree crowns, installing flexible trunk and branch supports, caring for shrubs, and removing and managing the resulting biomass. It also includes planting deciduous and coniferous trees, staking and mulching them, and maintaining the plantings for three years. Work is divided into four inventory sections and must protect the historic park and valuable trees that are to remain. Work in Sections I and II must be completed by 29 November 2026, and work in Sections III and IV, including compensatory planting, by 1 June 2027. Felling and crown pruning are generally to take place outside the bird nesting season, from 16 October to the end of February; work must be halted or the required checks carried out if breeding or roosting sites of protected species are identified. Planting stock must meet the documentation’s specifications, including a trunk circumference of 12–14 cm or 14–16 cm and a height of at least 2.0–2.5 m. The guarantee for the plantings must be at least 36 months; other care, sanitary and maintenance work is covered by a 24-month guarantee. The bidder must have completed at least two qualifying tree-management services during the previous three years at sites entered in the register of historic monuments, each with a gross value of at least PLN 280,000, and provide at least one works supervisor with the required heritage-work authorisation or arborist qualification. The award criteria are bid price (60%) and the supervisor’s previous experience (40%). No bid guarantee is required. The successful bidder must provide a performance guarantee equal to 5% of the gross bid price and liability insurance with coverage of at least PLN 400,000 for one and all events. Bids must be submitted electronically in Polish by 10:00 on 8 October 2026.
