Sykehusinnkjøp HF is procuring fully automated tissue processors for the Department of Pathology at St. Olav’s Hospital. The instruments must support conventional overnight and weekend processing as well as rapid processing in the same unit, and should be compatible with both instrument-specific and instrument-independent reagents. The number of units will depend on their capacity; the current workload is approximately 800–1,000 samples per day, with an expected annual increase of about 3%.
