Intelligent camera systems for identifying wagon numbers and hazardous substances

Summary

ProRail is procuring intelligent camera systems to identify locomotives, freight-wagon numbers, hazardous cargo and container numbers, together with installation, management and maintenance, fault repair, data analysis and data delivery. Lot 1 covers nine systems at Houtrakpolder (3), Moerdijk (1) and Maasvlakte West/Westwest (5). Two optional lots each cover one system: Barendrecht Vork/Vaanplein and Sloe/Vlissingen; the agreement may also be extended to further yards. The agreement runs for five years, with three optional one-year extensions.
