Compute, Storage and Backup 2 (CSB2)

Summary

The tender covers the delivery, design, implementation, transition, management and maintenance of an on-premise compute and storage platform and backup solutions for the on-premise and Microsoft 365 environments for the Municipality of Amersfoort. The compute and storage solution must support 300 virtual machines with at least 8 TB of memory, 100 TB of net logical storage, at least 130,000 read IOPS or 85,000 mixed IOPS, throughput of 3.3 Gbps read and 1.4 Gbps write, and maximum 5 ms round-trip latency. The on-premise backup solution must provide at least 523 TB of net capacity after compression and deduplication, redundantly across two locations. The Microsoft 365 solution is intended for approximately 2,200 users and must retain the existing backup history. The contractor must also complete the migration, provide 24/7 support for priority 1 and 2 incidents, and manage the new environment and the existing NetApp environment. The contract is planned for five years from 1 May 2027, with two possible one-year extensions; implementation starts on 1 January 2027. The tender is awarded on the best price-quality ratio: price 40% and quality 60%, comprising the transition plan 45%, information security 25% and circularity 30%.
