Tender detail

Design and author supervision for a pedestrian footpath and outdoor ramp

Summary

The tender concerns the design of a pedestrian footpath and an outdoor ramp, together with author supervision, at two properties in Ķekava. The aim is to improve pedestrian infrastructure and accessibility in an area with an approximately four-metre level difference. The design area is approximately 1,800 m², with an indicative construction footprint of about 700 m². The designer must prepare the documentation needed for building-authority approval and sufficiently detailed drawings, calculations, bills of quantities and cost estimates so that the construction procurement and works can proceed without further design. The solution must address accessibility, existing utility networks, stormwater drainage and landscaping. Three options must be developed for the path and ramp surfacing and landscaping, incorporating elements of Ķekava, Latvian or Baltic cultural heritage. This is a single contract not divided into lots, and the bid must cover both design and author supervision. Design must be completed within nine months of contract signature; the main technical solutions and preliminary cost estimates are due within four months. Author supervision runs from the start of construction until the facility is accepted for use and includes site inspections and meeting attendance at least once a week. The bid must include the required qualification evidence, a technical confirmation and a financial offer covering all costs. Price accounts for up to 70 evaluation points, while the specialist’s additional experience can earn up to 30 points.
