Supply of technical gases and gas mixtures to CEINGE

Summary

CEINGE is procuring a single-lot, continuous supply of technical gases and gas mixtures for its premises in Naples and, when required, laboratories at the adjacent Federico II hospital. The estimated quantities for three years are: helium 5.5 – 160 m³; argon 5.0 – 770 m³; liquid nitrogen – 400,000 litres for a tank and 750 litres in Dewar vessels; CO₂ 4.0 – 17,500 kg; CO₂ 4.8 – 15 kg; nitrogen 5.0 – 1,050 m³; oxygen – 300 litres; and food-grade CO₂ – 360 kg. Quantities are estimates and may vary with actual requirements. The contract runs for 36 months and may be renewed on the same terms for a further 24 months. A technical extension of up to six months may also be needed to complete the process of appointing a replacement supplier. The estimated total value, including options and €2,500 in non-discountable safety costs, is €459,976.80 excluding VAT. The lowest-price criterion will determine the award. The supplier must arrange transport, unloading and collection of empty cylinders, with deliveries generally made on working days between 7:00 and 9:00. Liquid nitrogen must normally be delivered within 48 hours, technical gases within 72 hours and gas mixtures within 30 days. For urgent orders, the deadline for liquid nitrogen and technical gases is 24 hours. Products must meet the specified purity, quality and safety requirements and be accompanied by the required conformity and safety documents and, where applicable, analysis or calibration evidence. Bidders must meet the qualification criteria, submit a compliant offer and tender guarantee, and follow the delivery and operating arrangements set out in the procurement documents.
