Organic waste reception and treatment service in Grumo Nevano

Summary

The contract covers the receipt, treatment and recovery of Grumo Nevano’s organic waste for 12 months. The municipality’s urban waste collection contractor will deliver the waste to the facility proposed by the bidder. If the bidder offers only an R13 storage platform, the bidder must arrange and pay for onward transport to the final recovery facility. The estimated annual quantities are 3,000 tonnes of kitchen and canteen waste (CER 20.01.08) and 150 tonnes of biodegradable garden waste, including grass cuttings and branches (CER 20.02.01). These quantities are estimates; payment is based on the amount actually delivered. The base unit prices are €120 and €70 per tonne respectively. The estimated value for the 12-month contract is €370,500 excluding VAT; a technical extension of up to six months may be exercised, with an estimated value of €185,250. The bid must state a discount on the unit prices and labour and company safety costs per tonne. Price is the sole award criterion. Bidders must meet the turnover and comparable-services experience thresholds and have access to an appropriately authorised waste facility with sufficient capacity, located within 40 km by the shortest one-way road route from the Grumo Nevano ecological island. The facility must normally accept waste on weekdays from 7:00 to 17:00 and Saturdays from 8:00 to 13:00, including the holidays specified in the tender documents. Participation also requires a provisional guarantee of 2% and payment of the €77 ANAC fee.
