Transfer of the choir screen from Sainte-Croix Abbey to Saint-Pierre Cathedral

Summary

The Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs of Nouvelle-Aquitaine is procuring the transfer to Poitiers’ Saint-Pierre Cathedral of a choir screen from Sainte-Croix Abbey, protected as a historic monument since 1965. The works include dismantling the screen, restoring it in a workshop, making extensions and installing it in the cathedral. The contract is divided into five lots: shared site facilities, masonry and cut stone; restoration of metalwork, ironmongery, painted finishes and gilding; woodwork restoration; painted decoration restoration; and sculpture restoration. The works will take six months, including one month of preparation.
