Preventive archaeological excavations for the Issoire hospital care facility

Summary

The contract covers preventive archaeological excavations on the site for a new residential care facility for older people at the Issoire hospital, Rue des Petits Capucins. The excavation area is 7,469 m². The main fieldwork phase is expected to last 100 working days. It may be supplemented by three optional periods of 10 working days each, which may be activated if more than five burials are discovered. The contract is expected to run for 32 months. The contractor must submit an interim report within one month after the excavations end and a final report no later than 24 months after the fieldwork ends. Bidders must provide a scientific intervention project, work organisation and schedule, team details and CVs, proposed equipment, safety and environmental measures, and a price breakdown. The authorisation to conduct the excavations must cover the Iron Age and Protohistory. No minimum turnover or other fixed capacity threshold is set, but capacity must be evidenced when requested. Bids are evaluated on technical quality (65%) and price (35%); the technical assessment covers the scientific project, work organisation and schedule, team, and site safety and environmental management. Bids must be submitted electronically by 5 November 2026 at 12:00. Alternative bids are not permitted.
