RN2 La Capelle – Preliminary studies for the declaration of public utility

Summary

The French State’s regional environment and housing directorate is procuring technical and regulatory studies for upgrading the N2 to a dual carriageway between La Capelle and the eastern bypass corridor serving Froidestrées, La Capelle and La Flamengrie. The contract has one firm tranche and three optional tranches covering preliminary studies and a road safety audit, consultation on route options and final route selection, preparation and support for the public inquiry and declaration of public utility, and any necessary revision of studies. The work is not divided into lots; the planned construction works have a financial envelope of €100 million, at July 2026 values.
