Framework agreement for sheet metal works

Summary

The procurement concerns sheet metal works for buildings managed by the Finnish Heritage Agency’s Suomenlinna and Seurasaari units. The work may include installing and seaming sheet-metal roof coverings, downpipes and gutters, window flashings, sheet-metal work around chimneys and penetrations, sealing repairs to metal roofs, and installing roof safety products. The works will be carried out in office, workshop, residential and museum buildings from different periods, with particular regard to their cultural and historical values, characteristic features, materials and traditional construction methods. The contractor may act as the main contractor or a subcontractor. Work is generally invoiced on an hourly basis, but other contract forms may also be used; work-time documentation and photographs are required for every assignment. A framework agreement will be established with up to four service providers, selected on the basis of the best price-quality ratio. Individual orders will normally be awarded through a further competition within the framework. The agreement will run for three years from signature, with a possible one-year extension option. There are no guaranteed minimum purchase volumes, and assignments may not be distributed evenly throughout the contract period.
