Market consultation: renovation of the Kauppakatu pedestrian street section between Ilmarisenkatu and Kilpisenkatu

Summary

This is a market consultation concerning the planned renovation of approximately 600 metres of the Kauppakatu pedestrian street in central Jyväskylä, between Kilpisenkatu and Ilmarisenkatu. The objective is to create a versatile, attractive and green urban centre that improves the quality of the city environment and supports the vitality of the city centre. The City of Jyväskylä’s target budget for the project is approximately EUR 6 million. Alva-yhtiöt Oy will carry out related network renovation works with a target budget of approximately EUR 3.3 million. The procurement is preliminarily being prepared as a design-and-build contract with a development phase, while the suitability of a collaborative project management contract will also be assessed. Interested tenderers are invited to register through the electronic tendering service as candidates for market dialogue meetings scheduled for 21, 23 and 28 October. Each tenderer may participate with up to three people, and meetings will be arranged with no more than six tenderers. The stated deadline is 5 October 2026.
