Grandstand and Canopy Procurement 9/2026

Summary

The procurement concerns the construction of a summer theatre grandstand and canopy for Kuusa Youth Association at Koskelantie 43, 41370 Kuusa, Finland. The project covers an approximately 500–600-seat grandstand, an approximately 330 m² steel-framed canopy, earthworks, a retaining wall, drainage and stormwater systems, frost protection and related foundations. The procurement may be offered as one or both of two work packages: the grandstand and canopy works, or the earthworks and drainage-related works. The contractor must carry out the works in accordance with the drawings, tender documents and specified Finnish construction and steelwork requirements. Depending on the package, the work includes seating and grandstand structures, steel frames, roofing, acoustic treatment, foundations, ground preparation, retaining structures, drainage and stormwater connections. The contractor must also manage site safety, public protection, coordination with volunteer work and the continued use of the youth association premises. The planned completion deadline is 15 June 2027, and the offer must remain valid for two months. The price may receive up to 70 points, references up to 15 points and the required work plan and risk management plan up to 15 points. Bidders must provide the required prices, a detailed work plan, relevant references where applicable, liability insurance of at least EUR 500,000, evidence of compliance with Finnish contractor-obligation requirements and personnel holding valid occupational safety and hot-work cards. A qualified responsible site manager and a project-specific safety plan are also required.
