HERI2 Automatic monitoring equipment for railway structures

Summary

The tender concerns a framework agreement for wireless, continuous monitoring systems for railway structures. The systems must include measuring equipment, data transmission, browser-based services, visualisation, automatic threshold-based alerts, commissioning and the support required for operation. The assignments will primarily concern the Helsinki–Tampere railway section, including the Helsinki–Riihimäki capacity increase phases 2 and 3 and the initial phase of the Helsinki–Tampere renewal project, but other projects on the same section may also be included. The estimated value is EUR 1.6 million excluding VAT, or approximately EUR 400,000 per year. The framework agreement is expected to be concluded with two suppliers, or with one supplier if fewer than two acceptable tenders are received. A second supplier may be included only if its proposed system differs from the first-ranked system and its evaluated price is less than 20% higher than the lowest price.
