Supply of spinal cord stimulation materials

Summary

The contract covers the supply of spinal cord neurostimulation treatment kits and all necessary components for Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana Hospital. Each kit must include a rechargeable implantable pulse generator with at least two channels, electrodes, adapters, extensions and anchoring components, as well as a patient programmer, an external recharging system and a single-use wireless generator for the trial phase. The system must support different stimulation modes, including stimulation without paresthesia, and be conditionally suitable for whole-body 1.5 T magnetic resonance imaging. The supplier must provide all items needed for treatment and arrange for a qualified technical operator from the manufacturer to attend the procedure at the hospital; technical support and a minimum two-year warranty for components are also required. The contract runs for 24 months, with a possible 12-month extension. The maximum budget for the initial period is EUR 187,410 excluding VAT; the estimated total value, including a possible 20% modification and the 12-month extension, is EUR 318,597 excluding VAT. The maximum unit price per kit is EUR 31,235. Actual orders will depend on the hospital’s needs. Bids are scored out of 100 points: price up to 55, system usability 15, system safety 13, and versatility and adaptability 17. Bidders must provide the required technical product sheets and conformity declarations and demonstrate relevant annual turnover of at least EUR 93,705 and two comparable supplies, each worth at least that amount, during the last three years. Bids must be submitted electronically in Spanish; variants are not permitted.
