Kitchen refurbishment works at Mallorca Prison

Summary

The contract covers the refurbishment of the existing kitchen at Mallorca Prison. The washing area will be relocated, a new freezer room will be created, and wall and floor finishes will be renewed to meet the hygiene and health requirements for food-preparation facilities. The works also address the deteriorated kitchen floor and insufficient cold-storage capacity. The scope includes demolition, waste management, drainage, masonry, flooring and tiling, metalwork, plumbing, electrical and ventilation works, painting, and equipment installation. The works must be completed within five months from the site-setting-out record. The contract is expected to be signed on 8 February 2027. The total budget is €440,547.23 including 21% VAT (€364,088.62 excluding VAT). The procurement is a single contract and is not divided into lots. Tenderers must meet the financial and technical capacity requirements and be registered in the relevant public tenderer register, or have applied for registration before the tender deadline. Price accounts for 80% of the score; an extension of the warranty by at least 12 months accounts for 10%, and proof of an ISO 14001 or equivalent environmental management system accounts for 10%. The successful tenderer must provide a final guarantee equal to 5% of the offered price excluding VAT. Tenders must be submitted electronically with the required responsible declaration and price offer.
