Concession to operate a restaurant-bar on the Victoria Beach promenade

Summary

The concession grants the use of commercial premises beneath the Victoria Beach promenade in Cádiz for ten years, with no option to extend, to operate a restaurant-bar without music. The business is limited to serving food and drinks and operates at the concessionaire’s own risk. The minimum annual concession fee is EUR 40,656; a separate coastal-use fee, currently EUR 14,455.54 per year, must also be budgeted for and may change. The offer must include a preliminary design for adapting the premises and a business operation and management plan. The successful bidder must arrange and fund the adaptation of the premises and installation and maintenance of building systems, obtain the required permits, and secure an opening licence before starting operations. The concessionaire is responsible for food safety, appropriate staff training, cleaning, waste management, insurance and all operating costs. The premises must open every day from Palm Sunday through 30 September and, outside that period, at least on weekends. Music and sound-amplification equipment are prohibited.
