Insurance Policies for SOMACYL

Summary

The procurement covers three types of insurance for SOMACYL, the public infrastructure and environment company of Castilla and León: (1) general and professional liability insurance for its technical staff, (2) all-risks material damage insurance for its property and facilities, and (3) collective personal accident insurance for its employees. Bidders may submit an offer for one, several or all three lots. The budgets, excluding VAT, are €130,000, €450,000 and €10,000 respectively. The total estimated contract value is €590,000, with an estimated overall value of €2,832,000 including possible amendments and extensions. The insurance period runs from 12 November 2026 to 11 November 2027, with up to three possible one-year extensions. Lot 2 has total insured values of €421,850,588.20 and an overall indemnity cap of €40,000,000 per occurrence. Lot 1 provides a basic limit of €5,000,000 per occurrence for general and technical professional liability; Lot 3 insures employees against accidents. Detailed cover, limits and deductibles are specified in the tender documents for each lot. Bidders must be insurers authorised to operate in Spain in the relevant insurance class. Participation requires proof of the specified turnover and at least five relevant previous contracts, together with the required declarations. The insurer must perform the service itself; subcontracting is not allowed. Price accounts for up to 60 points, with the remaining award points based on lot-specific increases to insurance limits, reductions in deductibles or additional cover. The offer must state the rate or rates used to calculate the premium.
