Technological renewal of Meliana City Council’s data centre under a rental arrangement

Summary

The tender concerns the four-year technological renewal of Meliana City Council’s data centre through a technology rental arrangement with no purchase option. The supply includes two virtualization servers, one all-flash storage array with at least 9 TiB usable capacity, one integrated backup appliance with at least 24 TB net capacity, and 10 thin clients, together with the required licenses. The work includes installing and configuring the new infrastructure, migrating existing virtual machines and files while minimizing disruption, deploying Windows Server 2025 and an RDS desktop environment, setting up cloud backup, and implementing monitoring and centralized management. The bidder’s main office must be less than 100 km from both the Council’s data centre and the proposed backup replication data centre; a technician must be able to attend a critical incident within 1 hour. The required technical memorandum and supporting evidence must accompany the offer. The bidder must also provide at least 20 hours of technical support annually, regular preventive maintenance, official manufacturer support, and comply with data protection and confidentiality obligations.
