Professional Liability Insurance for Occupational Medicine Doctors

Summary

The tender seeks 18 months of professional civil liability insurance for one or more occupational medicine doctors working for the University of Oviedo. The policy is to cover claims arising from occupational health services, including compensation for personal injury, property damage and financial loss caused by professional error or negligence, as well as legal defence costs and court bonds. The base limit for professional liability and the annual aggregate limit for all covers are €500,000; tenderers may offer a higher indemnity limit and increased sublimits for legal fees. No excess applies. Cover starts on 1 November 2026, or later if the contract is signed after that date, and lasts 18 months. Unlimited retroactive cover applies provided a claim is received during the policy period. Offers are scored on price (70 points) and coverage enhancements (up to 30 points). Participation is limited to insurers authorised to provide the relevant insurance.
