Dynamic Purchasing System for Laboratory Supplies
Summary
Canal de Isabel II is establishing a dynamic purchasing system for goods and equipment needed by its water-quality laboratories, drinking-water treatment plants and wastewater treatment plants. The 10 categories and 23 lots cover industrial gases, culture media, medical equipment, laboratory reagents, laboratory glassware and plasticware, measuring instruments, detection and analysis equipment, laboratory furniture, household appliances, and parts for pumps, compressors, machinery and motors. Typical items include gases, microbiological cultures, incubators, autoclaves, chemicals, pipettes, scales, thermometers, chromatographs, microscopes, laboratory benches, refrigerators and laboratory pumps. Suppliers apply for admission to one or more lots. Admitted businesses will be invited to compete for specific supply contracts. The system has an initial term of two years and may be extended by up to a further two years, for a maximum total of four years. Its estimated overall value is EUR 80,430,039.27 excluding VAT, but the buyer does not guarantee any minimum purchase quantity. Each specific competition will set the exact products, specifications, quantities, delivery schedule and award criteria. Where required, suppliers may also have to install equipment, provide maintenance or train users. Deliveries will be made to Canal de Isabel II laboratories and the central warehouse in Majadahonda, within the Madrid area and neighbouring provinces, and in Cáceres. Normal unloading hours are 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on working days. Applicants must meet the relevant lot-specific turnover, comparable-supply experience and applicable standards or product requirements, and submit the required declarations and evidence.
