Maintenance of outdoor areas and hard-surfaced areas

Summary

The procurement covers maintenance of GEOMAR's outdoor areas, landscaping and hard-surfaced areas at its properties in Kiel. The work includes tending flowerbeds and shrubs, pruning trees, watering and caring for trees, mowing lawns and meadows, maintaining green roofs and inspecting drainage, sweeping parking and other outdoor paved areas, and cleaning the floors and stairwells of a car park. Quantities and frequencies are set out in the price schedule. Maintenance generally takes place from March/April to November; the car park is cleaned monthly, and some tasks are required up to 12 times a year. The bidder must submit the completed price schedule and a fixed-price offer showing net, VAT and gross amounts, and identify the natural person signing the offer. At least one person assigned to the work must hold an FLL European Tree Worker certificate or equivalent qualification; the working foreperson must have at least a journeyman qualification in gardening and/or landscaping, and the inspector must hold at least a master craftsman qualification in the same field. Machinery, equipment and personal protective equipment must have a valid USV inspection. Low-noise and low-emission equipment must be used, biological weed-control agents are prohibited, and roof work must comply with safety requirements.
