Lüneburg North Government Centre – LAVES Laboratory Refurbishment and Lightning Protection System

Summary

The tender covers the complete renewal of the lightning protection and earthing system for the LAVES laboratory and office building in Lüneburg. The works include dismantling parts of the existing system, installing a 260 m stainless-steel ring earth electrode and associated earthing components, laying approximately 475 m of visible aluminium down conductors and 700 m of conductors on the green roof, installing roof air-termination rods and an insulated high-voltage-resistant conductor for the antenna mast, testing, commissioning and complete technical documentation. The building remains partly operational, so the works will be carried out in separate north and south phases with coordination with other contractors.
