Private 5G mobile network infrastructure

Summary

The Rheinland-Palatinate Technical University Kaiserslautern-Landau is procuring private 5G campus network infrastructure for research in four manufacturer-specific lots: Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia and Siemens. Lots 1–3 cover outdoor and indoor networks to be combined into one network per manufacturer in a later project phase; the Siemens lot covers an indoor network. Indoor coverage is planned for a hall of approximately 450 m², with outdoor coverage and handover testing included where specified.
