Tender detail

ICP-MS/MS system

Summary

The tender concerns the purchase of an ICP-MS/MS system for trace and ultratrace element analysis in complex process solutions, leachates and battery recycling residues. The system shall enable multi-element analysis of battery metals (Li, Co, Ni, Mn, Cu, Al, P, F) and, if required, coupling with IC-ICP-MS for species analysis of phosphate- and fluoride-containing leachates. The tandem-MS configuration with a reaction/collision cell is required to suppress spectral interferences in matrix-rich battery samples. The instrument will operate in a standard laboratory environment (no cleanroom). Emphasis is on long-term signal stability under practical conditions, not on ultra-low detection limits typical of cleanrooms. Since fluoride-containing degradation products of LiPF6 are analyzed, the HF-resistant sample introduction system is mandatory; a standard introduction set is required for aqueous routine samples. The award will weight technical quality at 65% and price at 35%. Minimum requirements (KO) specify a tandem-MS architecture with two sequential mass filters and a reaction/collision cell, a mass range of at least m/z 2–260, at least two independent mass flow controllers, kinetic energy discrimination (or equivalent) to suppress interferences, HF-resistant sample introduction, online gas dilution, standard sample introduction, an HF-resistant full introduction system or add-on, an autosampler with at least 60 positions, an external cooler, an IC coupling, and CE conformity. All mandatory components listed in the delivery scope must be included in the bid.
