Demolition and dismantling works
Summary
The tender covers asbestos and other hazardous-substance remediation, dismantling of asbestos-containing construction materials and components, stripping-out and demolition works at the old building of the German Museum of Technology in Berlin. The works include, among other things, removing asbestos-cement pipes, fire dampers, tile adhesives, wall and ceiling coatings, fire doors and pipe-flange seals; removing KMF and other mineral-wool insulation; dismantling PCB-containing capacitors and mercury-containing fluorescent tubes; demolishing ventilation equipment and pipework; decontamination, cleaning and monitoring; and packaging, transporting and properly disposing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste with complete supporting records. The works will be carried out by sections and floors while the museum remains in operation at Trebbiner Str. 8–9, Berlin. The expected contract period is 4 January 2027 to 31 December 2028, and the tender submission deadline is 8 October 2026. To participate, the company must demonstrate at least 12 employees, including three supervisors competent under Annex 3 to TRGS 519, hold approval for high-risk asbestos work and submit at least one comparable reference from the last five years. The tender must also address simultaneous operation of three remediation areas, occupational safety, waste documentation and collective pay requirements.
