SEB Bed House II Extension – Façade Insulation and Brick Cladding

Summary

The procurement covers façade works for the extension of Bed House II for geriatric medicine at St. Elisabeth Hospital Beckum. The contractor must install an external thermal insulation system with rendered finishes and brick-slip cladding on parts of the second floor and the existing building, including the associated edges, joints, window-sill details and plinth finishes. The work includes mineral-wool insulation boards, reinforcement and render layers, façade paint, plinth and perimeter insulation, façade junctions, and protective and finishing work. Indicative quantities include 715 m² of rendered façade with 160 mm mineral-wool insulation, 570 m² of brick-slip cladding and 225 m² of existing façade with 120 mm insulation. The submission deadline is 29 October 2026 at 12:00. Bids must be submitted electronically through the contracting authority’s platform, in German and using the required forms. Price is the sole award criterion. The contract is not divided into lots and alternative bids are not permitted. Work must start within 12 working days after the authority’s instruction, which is expected to be issued by 8 January 2027, and must be completed within 73 working days after commencement. The bidder must provide insurance and tax-exemption evidence, together with suitability and pricing documents. The contractor is responsible for properly separating, managing and documenting construction and demolition waste. If the net contract sum is at least EUR 250,000, a performance security of 5% of the contract sum including VAT is required; the security for defect claims is 3% of the interim payments made by acceptance.
