Tree safety inspections for the City of Potsdam

Summary

The tender concerns annual tree safety inspections for public trees in the City of Potsdam. The contract is divided into six lots: five geographic areas and one cemetery lot. The scope covers approximately 45,200 street trees, 57,200 trees on public areas, 5,000 cemetery trees and 65 trees at the Jewish Cemetery. Inspections must be carried out as visual ground-based assessments using the Visual Tree Assessment method, with additional inspections where required by exceptional weather or tree pathogens. The work must be performed by qualified tree inspectors, and the bidder must provide at least one comparable company reference from the previous three years. The reference must meet the required annual net value thresholds: EUR 90,000 for Lots 1–5 or EUR 60,000 for the cemetery lot. The bidder must also hold a valid public-appointed expert certificate in the specified tree-care and tree-safety fields, or an equivalent current certificate.
