Type 2 Incident Command Vehicle

Summary

The procurement is for a new type 2 incident command vehicle (ELW 2) for Ludwigsburg County. The vehicle must be built on a road-going chassis and include a compliant body, interior and technical equipment. It must be factory-new or have day registration and comply with the vehicle, fire-service, electrical, electromagnetic compatibility and safety standards named in the tender. Compliance with the cited standards must be evidenced. The bidder must submit a completed tender and price schedule together with a technical offer, including chassis and body data sheets, construction and layout descriptions, drawings, and a heating and cooling demand calculation. Price accounts for 80% of the evaluation, while service and technical aspects account for 20%. Delivery is planned for the fourth quarter of 2028. The supplier must arrange timely ordering of the chassis, participate in interim and final inspections, and present the vehicle for official inspection by the TÜV Südwest fire-vehicle inspection service. Inspection dates must be agreed at least 10 working days in advance, and a competent German-speaking contact person must be present at acceptance.
