Maintenance of sprinkler systems

Summary

Ruhr University Bochum is seeking maintenance, inspection and functional testing of sprinkler systems across three lots at its campus and the external sites listed in the tender documents. Seven systems are to be serviced each year under a contract running from 1 February 2027 to 31 January 2031. The work includes quarterly inspections and half-yearly and annual maintenance, checks of pumps, alarm valves, pipework, water supplies and other system components, necessary cleaning and minor remedial work, and documentation. The work must comply, among other requirements, with DIN EN 12845 and DIN EN 12259-1, and VdS CEA 4001 and VdS 2100, or equivalent requirements. Bids may cover all lots or individual lots. The bidder must demonstrate experience in fire protection technology and provide the required certificates and approval or equivalent evidence of competence for maintaining the systems. Assigned staff must be qualified and able to communicate in spoken and written German; at least two employees must work on the systems. The bid must include concepts for maintenance, documentation and fault response, as well as a price. Price accounts for 40% of the evaluation, the maintenance-method concept for 30%, the documentation and reporting concept for 15%, and the fault-response concept for 15%. The deadline for bids is 12 January 2027, and bids must be submitted electronically. The bidder must also provide the required declarations relating to exclusion grounds and sanctions.
