Construction works – fourth treatment stage for micropollutant reduction

Summary

The tender covers construction works at the Hamm-West wastewater treatment plant in three related measures: construction of a fourth treatment stage for micropollutant reduction, refurbishment and rehabilitation of secondary clarifiers 1–4, and construction of secondary clarifier 5. The fourth treatment stage includes, among other things, an intermediate pumping station, ozonation, sand filtration and a machine building, together with connecting pipelines, excavation, shoring, concrete, steelwork, road and finishing works. Works on secondary clarifiers 1–4 include inlet structures, renewal of clarified-water channels, concrete rehabilitation and installation of cable ducts; for clarifier 5, the contractor must construct a new reinforced-concrete tank approximately 56.5 metres in diameter, a pumping station, shafts and pipelines. The works will take place at an operating wastewater treatment plant and require coordination with other contractors, as well as separate measurement, invoicing and documentation for each measure. Tenders must be submitted electronically in German by 1 September 2026 at 10:30. Price is the only award criterion. Work is scheduled to start on 16 November 2026; the completion deadlines are 1 October 2029, 12 July 2030 and 27 September 2029 respectively.
