Collection of beetles and other flying insects using cross-window traps for statewide monitoring in the forests of Baden-Württemberg

Summary

The Forestry Research and Experimentation Institute of Baden-Württemberg (FVA) is commissioning the collection and processing of beetles and other flying insects for its statewide forest insect-monitoring programme. The procurement has two regional lots, each covering 18 sampling plots, of which 16 are guaranteed. At each plot, three cross-window traps are to be installed and emptied four times; the work also includes sorting samples into beetles, other insects and other arthropods, measuring their biomass, and recording vegetation structure and old and dead wood. Species identification is not included.
