Construction of routes and reservoirs for sports turf irrigation

Summary

The City of Cologne is procuring Lot 2 of a three-lot project to convert irrigation of the sports grounds near RheinEnergieSTADION from drinking water to groundwater and supply an automated irrigation system. The works include 173 m of pressure pipeline, three 30 m³ storage shafts (25 m³ usable capacity each), a sump shaft, sand-trap and calming shafts, and a distribution shaft for the pressure-boosting system; electrical and mechanical equipment is excluded. The scope also includes 197 m of four-duct cable conduit, excavation and earthworks, and reinstatement of approximately 226 m² of sports turf and 13 m² of asphalt.
