Rewetting of Hahlener Moor and vegetation clearance and earthworks
Summary
The procurement covers restoration of the water regime in Hahlener Moor, a protected area in the Osnabrück district. The work is intended to retain more water in the bog and includes 90 ditch dams, 1,070 m of embankments in the core area and a further 1,380 m of embankments. It also includes nine adjustable overflows, clearance of vegetation along access routes and work areas, additional earthworks, site setup and transport of machinery. The work takes place in a sensitive protected area and requires a lightweight excavator suitable for peatland. Bidders must provide references from the previous five years and name the machine operator. The bid must include the excavator’s technical data and a calculated proof of ground pressure. Work must start no later than 14 days after receipt of the order and be completed by 28 February 2027. Bids must be submitted electronically by 10:00 on 21 October 2026; price is the sole award criterion.
