Landscaping and tree-felling works on Northeim’s southern ramparts
Summary
The City of Northeim is procuring tree felling on its southern ramparts, heavy shrub cutting, and the handling of felled timber, green waste and other refuse. The work covers three areas: at the Brauereiwall rampart, 3,989 trees are to be felled and shrubs cut across 575 m² at heights up to 1 m and 210 m² at heights of 3–5 m; at the Tourlaviller rampart, 1,032 trees are to be felled, including 91 yew trees; and at the rampart by the town hall pond, 2,337 trees are to be felled. Felling must protect the surrounding tree stands, and larger trees must be dismantled in sections where necessary to protect buildings. The contract also requires removal and treatment of approximately 433 tonnes of biodegradable garden and park waste at a recovery facility up to 20 km away, and handling of 3 tonnes of mixed municipal waste. Setting up the site and providing two mobile toilets are also included. The contractual work period is 20 November 2026 to 26 February 2027. Bids must be submitted electronically in German by 21 October 2026 at 09:00; price is the sole award criterion and alternative bids are not permitted. Bidders must submit a priced bill of quantities and the required suitability and wage-compliance declarations.
