Tender detail
Forest road maintenance works
Summary
The tender covers maintenance of forest roads in five forest districts served by the Idarwald Forestry Office, to restore road passability and drainage. Work includes restoring gravel and earth-road profiles according to the severity of damage; removing organic material and topsoil; adding and compacting road material where needed; and cleaning, repairing or constructing ditches, culverts, infiltration trenches and other drainage structures. Severely damaged roads with exposed sandstone require milling of protruding blocks; some lots also include culvert and drainage works and the supply of materials. The normal performance period is 19 October to 19 December 2026. In exceptional cases it may be extended until 8 January 2027 if the invoice is submitted by 14 January 2027. The procurement is divided into six lots. Bids may be submitted for all lots, but a bidder may be awarded no more than two. Bids must be submitted separately by lot, with a price for every item. For each lot, the lowest-priced bid is used as the basis for award; in the event of economically equivalent bids, preference may be given to a company offering apprenticeships, participating in initial vocational training or taking measures to promote women’s employment. Bids must be submitted electronically in German and in euros by 10:00 on 14 October 2026. Bidders must use the contracting authority’s forms and provide the required declarations and evidence. Key technical conditions include a prohibition on recycled material, a minimum deformation modulus of 40 MN/m² for compacted road surfaces and provision for rapid surface-water drainage.
