Update of the City of Herne Integrated Climate Protection Concept

Summary

The tender concerns updating and extending the City of Herne’s Integrated Climate Protection Concept. The contractor will provide professional support for the entire development process, including data collection and processing, process management and ongoing project communication, support for stakeholder involvement (administration, policy-makers, public) and public outreach to engage the population. The updated concept should serve as a strategic basis for cross-sector climate protection measures and their implementation, taking into account the city’s specific characteristics and sustainability principles. The work includes the development of short-, mid-, and long-term action plans, and the concept must address existing structures and initiatives (e.g., municipal heat planning) and coordinate with the city’s climate protection management. The updated concept must be published by 31 December 2027, and all results and reports will be granted exclusive and free usage rights to the client. Outputs should be delivered in accessible formats (PDF/UA).
