Winter maintenance services in Falkenberg/Elster and surrounding districts 2026/2027–2028/2029 (1 November–31 March each year)

Summary

The contract covers mechanical snow clearance and gritting of roads, paths and public areas in Falkenberg/Elster and six surrounding districts over the winter seasons from 1 November 2026 to 31 March 2029. The total service area is approximately 66.543 km and the contract is divided into five geographically defined lots, but bidders may not submit an offer for individual lots only; prices must be provided for all lots. The work includes snow clearance, salt or sand gritting, provision of vehicles, equipment, personnel and spreading materials, as well as related ancillary services. Winter service generally starts at snow depths of approximately 5 cm, with priority given to icy conditions. Snow and ice arising between 02:00 and 21:00 must be removed without delay after snowfall or the onset of slipperiness; in the districts, the relevant period starts at 03:00. Snow or ice occurring outside these periods must be cleared by 07:00 on working days and by 09:00 on Sundays and public holidays. Offers must be submitted in German by 16 September 2026 at 13:00. The economically most advantageous offer will be selected, with the award criteria and weighting set out in the tender documents. Alternative offers are permitted if they meet the specified minimum requirements and are demonstrably equivalent.
