Demolition of Buildings 4 and 5 – Lot 2001

Summary

The tender concerns the complete demolition of Buildings 4 and 5 at the Carolinenpalais site in Neustrelitz, including the attached shelter at Building 4, clearance and internal demolition, removal of foundations and slabs, excavation and backfilling, site preparation, tree and root protection, and the sorting, transport and compliant handling of ordinary and hazardous waste. The works also include removing materials containing asbestos, mercury and other hazardous substances and providing disposal evidence. The works are to start on 16 December 2026 and be completed by 26 February 2027. The tender must be submitted electronically by 15 October 2026 at 23:59. Price is the only award criterion. The bidder must account for difficult site conditions, dust control, protection of neighbouring buildings, coordination with parallel contractors, and documented handling of all construction and hazardous waste. The bidder must demonstrate comparable experience, availability of the necessary workforce and registration in the relevant professional register. Asbestos work may only be performed by properly authorised specialist companies, and personnel working with hazardous materials must be qualified, medically examined where required and safety-trained. Under Mecklenburg-Vorpommern requirements, employees must be paid at least EUR 14.68 gross per hour where no stricter sectoral minimum employment conditions apply.
