Coating works for the vehicle hall and technical rooms at Chemnitz wastewater treatment plant

Summary

The contract covers floor coating works in the vehicle hall and technical rooms of the new operations building at Chemnitz Central Wastewater Treatment Plant. The vehicle hall requires approximately 1,100 m² of dynamically crack-bridging OS 11a parking-deck flooring. The coating must have a dry film thickness of at least 4.5 mm, wear performance of PAT 15,000 cycles and class VK 1; the colour is approximately RAL 7032 or is to be selected from the bidder’s standard range. In the technical rooms, approximately 155 m² of fibre-concrete flooring must receive a grey, chemical-resistant, two-component epoxy coating, 1.5 mm thick and with slip-resistance class R10. The work includes substrate preparation and testing, repair of cracks and joints, application of the coatings and floor markings. Bidders must submit a priced bill of quantities, the required product information and proof of public liability insurance with coverage of at least EUR 3 million. The offer must be submitted in German through the electronic procurement platform by 2 November 2026 at 10:00. Contract work is scheduled to start on 5 January 2027 and be completed by 31 March 2027. The contract is not divided into lots; alternative offers are not permitted, and price is the award criterion. If the contract value is at least EUR 250,000 excluding VAT, a performance guarantee of 5% is required. Delay damages are 0.20% of the net contract sum per working day, capped at 5%.
