Waste collection and transport in the Main-Tauber district

Summary

The Main-Tauber-Kreis waste management authority is procuring household waste collection and transport across the district, which has approximately 133,000 residents. The three lots cover residual waste (about 11,000 tonnes per year), biowaste (about 13,600 tonnes per year), and waste paper, including collection, transport and operation of a transfer station (about 7,450 tonnes per year). Services are scheduled to begin on 1 April 2028, with a seven-year initial term and options extending the contract to 31 March 2038.
